An horrified Indian TV presenter and model, Gauhar Khan was slapped on the face by an audience, Akil Malik who thought her clothes were too revealing at the back.
Gauhar Khan was presenting Raw Star on 30th Nov in Film City, Mumbai, and can be seen visibly traumatised in a video taken shortly after the attack.
Her assaulter, 24 year old, Akil Malik, was one of 2,500 people in the audience, and managed to evade 250 security guards to confront her.
He was arrested and charged with molestation after threatening and then assaulting Khan live on air.
According to Mumbai police, he said: “Being a Muslim woman, she should not have worn such a revealing dress."
Although shaken by the incident, Khan returned to the set to continue presenting after an hour. Remorseless, Malik is expected to appear in Boriwali Court today. See the video after the cut..
