Obasanjo's new book 'MY WATCH' now in circulation against court order


It's no longer news that former Nigeria Military dictator and two time President , Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo has published a controversial book titled 'MY WATCH' which has been restrained from launching or in circulation following an Abuja court order from a suit filed by Kashamu Buruji.

What is news now is that despite a desperate attempt by Kashamu and a court injunction barring former president Olusegun Obasanjo not to publish his autobiography ' MY WATCH" has failed with the book now in circulation.

The controversial book published by Farafina has three volumes which chronicle the life of the embattled former president till this year where he accused Pres. Jonathan of surrounding himself with political associates and aid with corrupt tendencies.

Ever-since, Sahara reporter broke the news that the book will be launched and released on 12th of December, Pres. Jonathan has panicked trying every means to stop the former president from launching his book. It was rumoured that he even sent five Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors to beg OBJ by their reconciliation mission was a failed attempt.

Even Nigerian secret police,also known as SSS are reported to have been sent to hijack copies of the book from its publishers but our sources said President Obasanjo is definitely not a man to be toiled with because he has collected all the copies before hand.

According to Sahara reporters, 11 shocking things to know about the book's content:


  1. Obasanjo criticized Pres. Jonathan's government as a failure, thereby calling a weak leader, citing his failed policies on the nation's security challenges and Boko Haram.
  2. He said Pres. Jonathan is a confused president who left his wife Patience Jonathan to control the affairs of the nation.
  3. He accuses Pres. Jonathan of listening to the Ijaw chieftains in crucial matters of the nation thereby indulging in sectional agenda which is capable of disintegrating the nation.
  4. He also accuses Late Yar'adua and Pres. Jonathan of allowing their close associates and aides to loot the nation's foreign reserves.
  5. He expresses his betrayal on how Late Yar'adua connived with James Ibori to indict him on corruption issues.
  6. He also accuses Pres. Jonathan of luring his daughter Sen. Iyabo to disgrace him in public with an open letter, calling him 'a Liar'.
  7. He said that one of Pres. Jonathan's major problem is listening to Tony Anenih, who gives him advice that always ruin the country.
  8. He called Pres. Jonathan and Late Yar'adua an ingrate for refusing to admit the fact that he made them president.
  9. He stamped that Atiku can never be president because of his high level of corruption practices that cut across all sector of the economy.
  10. He accuses Late Yar'adua of wasting time probing him, thereby abandoning his major railway and power projects.
  11. Finally, He swore that he will never reconcile with Pres. Jonathan and even if he do, Pres. Jonathan will never be president again in 2015.
