After spending 12 long but productive years in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abike Kafayat Oluwatoyin Dabiri-Erewa has decided to graciously opt out, as she will not be returning to the House in the next dispersion.
It's rumoured that her leaving the lower chamber of the legislative arm is in preparation for her conferment as the next Deputy Governor of Lagos state by APC chieftains.
52 year old and 3rd term Honorable, Abike Dabiri Erewa who represented the Ikorodu Federal Constituency of Lagos state under the All Progressive Party (APC) has contributed her own quota in the green chamber through advocacy of Child-Bride issues and successful chairing of House Committee on Diaspora matter.
The mother of two has done well in representing her constituency by implementing different projects ranging from empowerment programmes, training scholarship scheme to youths, cash donation to widows, water schemes, boreholes, electrification, free eye test and cataract surgery and better health care services.
It could be recalled that Dabiri-Erewa voluntarily retired from the services of the NTA to contest as a member of the House of Representative and swept the poll with a landslide victory in 2003.
