88 year old, Beji Caid Essebsi wins Tunisia Presidential Election


Beji Caid Essebsi, an 88-year-old remnant of the old authoritarian regime, has been declared winner of Tunisia's first free presidential elections which was held on Sunday, 21st December.
He secured 55.68% of run-off vote thereby defeating incumbent president Moncef Marzouki .
Born on 26th November 1926, Mohamed Beji Caid Essebsi is a renowned Tunisian Politician and Lawyer. He had served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1981 to 1986. From 27 February 2011 to 24 December 2011, he was the Prime Minister of Tunisia.

Hmmm! Guess Gen. Buhari still have hope of becoming Nigeria's next election come 2015 cause he is just 72years, lol.
