President Goodluck reshuffles cabinet after 7 Ministers' exit


 Nurudeen Mohammed ( Foreign Affairs Minister of State II and Minister of Information)
President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria on Wednesday, has partially reshuffled his cabinet following  the exit of 7 ministers last week to pursue their Governorship ambition in their various states.

The  Minister of State II for Foreign Affairs, Nurudeen Mohammed who now supervises the  Ministry of Information made it know to journalists after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting that:

  •  Dr. Khaliru Alhassan, who is the Minister of State for Health will now act as the Minister of Health in full capacity.
  • Dr. Olusegun Aganga, who is the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment will merge his duties with that of the Minister of State for same Ministry.
  • Lt. Gen. Aliyu Gusau, who is the Minister of Defence will now double as the Minister of State for Defence.
  • Mrs. Viola Adaku Onwuliri, who is the Minister of State I for Foreign Affairs will assume the position of the substantive Minister of State for Education. 
  • Special duties Minister, Taminu Turaki (SAN) will act as the Supervising Minister of Labour and Productivity.
  • Dr Steven Orise Oru,who is the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs will double as the Minister of State of the same ministry.
