Nigeria's Super Falcons win 2014 African Women Championship


Nigeria's Super Falcons, have reclaimed the African Championship title they lost two years ago after defeating their Cameroonian counterparts 2-0 today, 25th Oct, in Windhoek, Namibia. 
Desire Oparanozie and Asisat Oshoala scored the two goals in the 1st half that saw Super Falcons clinching the presitigious Africa Women Championships title for the 7th time.
Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala  was voted the Most Valuable Player while Cameroon's Ngo Ndom won best goal keeper award.
On the other hand,Falcon's striker Desire Oparanozie won the golden boots award for scoring five goals in the tournament.
The Super Falcons won all their matches in the tournament scoring 16 goals and conceded just three goals.
As the 2014 African Champions, Nigeria's Super Falcons will automatically proceed for  the 2015 World Cup in Canada.
Francisca Ordega was named the best player of the match, despite not getting her name in the match's score sheet.
