Ayo Fayose sworn in as Ekiti State's 11th Governor

Ayo Fayose has been sworn in today, as the 11th Governor of Ekiti State at the Olu Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti. The Irony of his inauguration is that he was removed as the governor of the state on 16th October 2006 and was re-instated on 16th October 2014

Distinguished personalities seen at the event were the Chairman of PDP, Adamu Muazu,  the Governors of Akwa Ibom, Katsina, Cross River, Bauchi, Jigawa, Kaduna, Abia, Kebbi, Delta, Ondo States and Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan. Immediate past governor of Anambra, Peter Obi.

Before the commencement of his inauguration speech, Ayo Fayose asked everyone present to observe a minute silence for the souls of PDP members and that of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which departed from Ekiti during the crisis that rocked the state. He also invited his opponents at the election to join hands with him to make Ekiti a peaceful and developed state.
