Many church members killed as TB Joshua's Synagogue Building Collapses

It was a tragic Friday as not fewer than 50 worshipers have been feared dead, with several others injured during the collapse of a six-storey building in the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun, Lagos around 1:30pm.
There are yet to be an official confirmation of the number of casualties but four ambulance buses have arrived the scene to take the injured to Isolo General Hosiptal while the dead ones are being evacuated to the mortuary.
The building was a four-storey building but was converted to seven before it collapsed was said to accommodate foreign worshipers who seek spiritual intervention.
Lagos State Emergency Management Agency,  National Emergency Management Agency , The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, and Red Cross Society were also on the ground.
NEMA spokesman, Ibrahim Farinloye, affirmed that the building was originally a four storey raised to seven. “ The additional three was being constructed when it collapsed around 1p.m  this Friday afternoon" he said.


Journalists were chased away from the scene of the incidence while people who attempted to take pictures of the scene were harassed by members of the church. Policemen were also on the ground dispersing crowds, who were gathered outside the gate of the collapse building.
