CHICKEN WAHALA ! ENUGU STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR IMPEACHED

   The Pugnacious Deputy Governor of Enugu state, Sunday Onyebuchi, has been impeached by members of the Enugu state Assembly. The Deputy Governor, who was served his impeachment notice on July 22nd, was voted out of office this morning 26th August 2014.
Onyebuchi's removal carried out at exactly 10.39 am was sequel to the adoption of the report of the 7-man panel that investigated allegations of gross misconduct levelled against him by 22 out of the 24 members of the House

The House Leader, Hon. S.K.E. Udeh-Okoye who moved motion for the adoption of the report said the panel of investigation had come up with the conclusion that the "allegations of gross misconduct levelled against Onyebuchi by the House have been proved".
Among the allegations leveled against Mr. Onyebuchi was his unlawful rearing of chickens in his official residence.
The Impeachment was believed to have been masterminded by Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime because of his constant profanatory actions towards the Governor. Among the allegations leveled against Mr. Onyebuchi was his unlawfully rearing chickens in his official residence.
The Deputy Governor of Enugu state, Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi has been impeached by the State's House of Assembly. He was impeached today after the House adopted the decision of the 7-man impeachment panel set up by the state Chief Judge, Justice Innocent Umezulike. Details of the impeachment session is still sketchy but the deputy governor’s removal is believed to have been masterminded by Governor Sullivan Chime.

The Assembly had accused Mr. Onyebuchi  of operating a commercial poultry at his official residence and of disobeying Governor  Chime, charges that, under the law, do not qualify as impeachment offences.
